UPOWA is proud to announce that we have been named Collaboration Partner of the Year at the 2026 Octopus Energy Zero Bills Awards, recognising our contribution to scaling the delivery of Zero Bills homes across the UK.
Held annually by Octopus Energy, the awards celebrate the organisations, projects and partnerships driving innovation in sustainable housing and helping accelerate the transition to low-carbon, energy-efficient homes. The Collaboration Partner of the Year category recognises organisations embedding the Zero Bills mission into their DNA and working collaboratively to help scale the initiative at speed.
At UPOWA, Zero Bills has become a core part of our offering and long-term strategy. Our dedicated in-house Zero Bills design team has supported more than 60 developments, representing over 2,000 homes enabled through early-stage design, feasibility and system integration support. By aligning developments with Zero Bills requirements from the outset, UPOWA helps housebuilders remove technical barriers, improve viability and accelerate the delivery of future-ready homes.

“Winning Collaboration Partner of the Year is a proud moment for everyone at UPOWA and reflects the strength of the partnership we have built with Octopus Energy. Zero Bills is rapidly becoming a defining standard for the future of UK housing, and from the outset our focus has been on helping housebuilders make that transition practical, scalable and commercially viable. This award recognises the collaborative approach required to deliver at scale and is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team.”
The award also recognises the strength of UPOWA’s collaborative approach and the pioneering projects delivered alongside Octopus Energy and leading UK housebuilders. This includes UPOWA’s involvement in Vistry Group’s Future Works Innovation Centre, where integrated solar and battery systems were installed to support an industry-first trial combining modern methods of construction with Zero Bills-ready technology.
