UPOWA joins the Future Homes Hub

UPOWA is delighted to announce that it has joined the Future Homes Hub as an Associate Member as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and a zero-carbon future.

The Hub brings together all those involved in home building to achieve the climate and environment goals for the sector in line with the Government’s legally binding net zero and wider environmental targets. The scale and speed of change is significant, and the new homes sector has set out its ambition in the delivery plan.

As Members of the Hub, we’re proud to be working together on a broad range of topics, including the Future Homes Standard, embodied and whole life carbon, zero carbon placemaking, biodiversity net gain, water efficiency, resource efficiency and air quality.

upowa joins future homes hub to help deliver zero carbon homes
UPOWA is thrilled to become an Associate Member of the Future Homes Hub and join a community of experts helping to solve technical challenges and provide sustainable solutions for delivering zero-carbon homes today and in the future.

We look forward to sharing our wealth of renewable energy knowledge and collaborating with partners to help shape the Future Homes Standard for the benefit of generations to come.
— John Southern, Head of Product & Strategy at UPOWA

New homes are undergoing rapid change to be ready for the climate and environmental challenges of the 21st century. No area of the economy is moving faster in this transition than the homes we build; the new homes sector will be nature positive through biodiversity net gain in 2023 and will be zero-carbon in operation through the Future Homes Standard in 2025.

We have a collective responsibility to deliver the sector’s climate and environmental targets while building higher quality homes at the scale needed. We can only do this if we all work together. I am therefore delighted that UPOWA has joined the Future Homes Hub to be part of this positive change.
— Ed Lockhart, CEO of The Future Homes Hub

The UPOWA team is looking forward to collaborating with this growing community to share its sustainable technology solutions and expertise, accelerating progress to a net zero future. Find out more about The Future Homes Hub.
