UPOWA to install 111 kWp roof-integrated solar scheme for Bargate Homes at Heritage Place, North Stoneham Park

UPOWA has been awarded the roof-integrated solar PV contract by Bargate Homes for 119 x eco-friendly homes that are being developed at Heritage Place, the final phase of North Stoneham Park on the outskirts of Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Bargate Homes, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vivid, Hampshire’s largest provider of affordable homes, will deliver a range of three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes at Heritage Place, available for shared ownership, affordable rent, and private sale.

As Bargate Home’s exclusive new build solar PV delivery partner, UPOWA will manage the design, product supply, installation, and aftercare of the renewable energy requirements for Phase 5a, to help meet site-wide carbon reduction targets and future-proof the new sustainable housing development.

Helping Bargate Homes create sustainable new homes

All homes at Heritage Place will be EPC-B Rated, ensuring future residents can significantly lower their carbon footprint and benefit from energy savings, which is a bonus given the rising energy prices.

UPOWA Inline Solar panels, smart thermostats, and electric vehicle charging points, alongside high-quality appliances feature as standard and will help deliver North Stoneham Park’s most eco-efficient properties to date.

Once complete, North Stoneham Park will provide a new sustainable community of over 1,000 energy-efficient homes just outside of Eastleigh, alongside a new school, sports facilities, a community centre, play parks and a care village for later living.

I am delighted to see UPOWA as the trusted solar PV specialist for the next phase of North Stoneham Park. We look forward to supporting the Bargate team with our end-to-end renewable energy services to help create these high-quality, eco-friendly homes that will be fit for the future.
