UPOWA partners with Bewley Homes to deliver roof-integrated solar and EV charging at Clockbarn Gardens.

UPOWA recently completed the installation of 39.26 kWp of UPOWA Inline Solar alongside 52 x UPOWA Easy Charge charging points at the Clockbarn Gardens development in the village of Send, Surrey. The 75 x high-quality, energy-efficient new homes are being constructed by award-winning housebuilder, Bewley Homes.

By providing Bewley Homes with a cost-effective and beautifully aesthetic roof-integrated solar solution, UPOWA helped to ensure the new sustainable community achieved its sustainability targets within the project budget and specification.

Bewley Homes is committed to consistently building low-carbon homes that combine quality, sustainability and innovation. UPOWA is proud to be partnering with Bewley Homes to progress its eco-credentials across all of its new sustainable housing developments.

Under this exclusive partnership, we’ll manage the design, technology supply, installation and aftercare for their solar PV, battery storage and electric vehicle charging requirements. This will enable Bewley Homes to take control of construction costs when specifying smart energy technologies to meet current and future carbon reduction targets.

Project Overview

The first scheme UPOWA partnered with Bewley Homes on is Clockbarn Gardens. The sustainable housing development situated in the village of Send in Surrey is a collection of 75 x two, three and four-bedroom energy-efficient homes.

We worked closely Bewley Homes to design a multi-technology solution for the solar PV and EV charging requirements.

The UPOWA Solution

The UPOWA team designed a cost-effective roof-integrated solar and EV charging solution to meet the carbon reduction and EV charging requirements at Clockbarn Gardens, all within budget and construction specification.

Our fully-accredited installation team fitted UPOWA Inline Solar systems to 16 x low-carbon houses and 2 x apartment blocks. In total, we installed 125 x UPOWA Inline Solar panels. The roof-integrated solar systems are now powering these energy-efficient homes with sustainable energy, lowering energy costs and carbon emissions for residents.

To ensure Clockbarn Gardens is future-proofed for electric vehicles, we installed 52 x UPOWA 7kWh Easy Charge charging points. This included a mix of wall and post mounted for the home and communal charging needs.

We’re now developing several multi-technology low-carbon housing schemes in collaboration with Bewley Homes.

We are enjoying a close working relationship with UPOWA to provide all of our solar PV and EV charge points, taking advantage of the company’s specialist product range, expert technical support and installation service.
