UPOWA partners with Barratt Homes to bring eco-friendly homes to Dorset

As the country feels the weight of the cost-of-living crisis along with rising energy bills, sustainably-conscious housebuyers in Dorset will be pleased to hear about a new partnership we have forged with Barratt Homes, which is bringing eco-friendly homes to the region.

UPOWA is proudly working with the leading housebuilder who is building energy-efficient housing developments across the country and is committed to ensuring all its new house types are zero carbon in use from 2030.

On Tuesday 11th October 2022, Barratt Homes management invited some of the UPOWA Team for a walkaround at their Canford Paddock development in Dorset to show the UPOWA Inline Solar systems in action.

Matt Dunford, Barratt Homes Contracts Manager, and Alex Hall, Barratt Homes Site Manager, took UPOWA’s John Southern, Head of Product and Strategy, Jonny Brady, Head of Brand and Marketing, and Gary Cozens, Head of Operations, around the housing developer’s new site on the edge of Poole and Bournemouth.

Matt Dunford said: “Barratt Homes is committed to bringing high-quality, sustainable homes to the region, and with this fantastic partnership, we can do just that. UPOWA has provided us with purpose-built solutions to future-proof our new properties, perfect for the 21st-century buyer.”

“It was great to have the opportunity to show our UPOWA partners around Canford Paddock today. They had the chance to see just how their products are being put into action.”

John Southern, Head of Product and Strategy at UPOWA, said it was great to see the roof-integrated solar systems in action, and is proud to be partnering with Barratt Homes.

He added: “We were very impressed with the site and how our teams are working together to create sustainable, future-ready homes. I’m proud to see UPOWA making a positive impact, helping to insulate households during the energy crisis, as well as benefitting the environment.”
